I realize that John McCain needs to appeal to the Religious Right to secure the Republican base… so despite being a die-hard partisan and Obama apologist, I don’t think his seeking Hagee’s endorsement is that big of a deal. But my question is – why is this (in my opinion) profoundly evil man still allowed to preach his message of hate and divisiveness without being marginalized by even the Religious Right? Why is John Hagee not in Fred Phelps/Westboro Baptist Church territory right now? Does he have to personally defecate on a soldier’s grave to merit the outrage and negative press that he so well deserves?

Ben not only proves that his years in the Nixon Administration have made him delusional, but also that he’s a moronic pseudo-genius who sees the world in blacks and whites rather than shades of gray.

Worst(est) person went to Ann Coulter, who wrote “Godless: The Church of Liberalism” with the help of Michael Behe (just goes to show how much self-respect this so-called biologist has) to attack the theory of evolution as well.

*(not only evolution, but all of science, as in the thing that’s responsible for human progress for the last 40,000 years!)

Despite not being Korean myself or having any family members in the quixotic Communist regime, I have expressed an interest in what many consider to be the last Stalinist regime in the world – North Korea. Kim Jong Il, as many of you know, is the absolute dictator of the nation and inherited the dynasty from his late father, Kim Il Sung.

So what does this have to do with religion? Well, as with most figureheads of conventional religions, the Kims have enjoyed a cult of personality during their reign essentially elevating both leaders to the status of God-Kings. Perhaps the most disturbing aspect of all of this is that – despite being impoverished and starving – the North Koreans look upon the two leaders as God-Kings who can do no wrong. Yes, Lil’ Kim has his own creation myth:

As with many countries run by egotistical dictators, such measures were not taken in the interests of the nation, but rather to preserve the image of Dear Leader as a dear leader.
