That’s what controversial Pastor and John McCain surrogate might as well have said during a speech in the late 1990s claiming that Adolf Hitler was fulfilling the will of God by driving the Jews out of Europe and back into the Levant so the world would be one step closer to the Rapture and Armageddon.

I realize that John McCain needs to appeal to the Religious Right to secure the Republican base… so despite being a die-hard partisan and Obama apologist, I don’t think his seeking Hagee’s endorsement is that big of a deal. But my question is – why is this (in my opinion) profoundly evil man still allowed to preach his message of hate and divisiveness without being marginalized by even the Religious Right? Why is John Hagee not in Fred Phelps/Westboro Baptist Church territory right now? Does he have to personally defecate on a soldier’s grave to merit the outrage and negative press that he so well deserves?
